5 Window Treatment Combinations that Bring Style and Function To Your Home

Today I'm sharing my favorite window treatment combinations.  These ideal combinations are perfect for any space, whether you need privacy, light control, or simply want to finish your room.

1. Combine Linen Curtains and Sheer Curtains

This pairing may be one of my favorites—- it's classic and timeless. With this combination you have the option of a full view, filtered light with a view, or blocking the light completely. And every option is beautiful.

2. Add Curtains to Roller Shades

Ready for practical AND pretty?  Add drapery panels to your roller shades.  Roller shades on their own are great: they are sleek and contemporary, and can be light filtering or black out.  Combine them with drapery panels for added texture and color to really elevate your space.

3. Layer Sheer Roman Shades with Blackout Curtains

Let’s say you have a beautiful view but want to cut the glare - sheer shades are perfect!  You can still see outside without being blinded by sunlight.  Adding black out panels enhances that "movie room" feel and provides darkness in a bedroom so you can sleep well at night.

4. Elevate Blinds with Curtains

Traditional wood blinds provide lighting options, privacy, and are perfect for any style.  Combining them with curtains or panels gives you even more options for light control, while framing your view at the same time.

5. Blend Curtains with Shutters

Who doesn't love shutters? Classic, timeless, and traditional, they block the light or can be adjusted to control the amount of light you want.  Paired with curtains or panels, this combination will really make a statement!
