5 Window Shade Options that Will Always Look Beautiful in Your Home

Versatile honeycomb shades can be top down or bottom up, and almost disappear when raised fully.

When clients call about new window treatments, no matter the room, need, or budget, almost all say the same thing: I want something current, but not too trendy. Something that will coordinate with my decor and not be too fussy. Shades are a great option for almost every room, and there are so many colors and styles to choose from.

Today I'll be sharing shade options that are not only current, but will stand the test of time.  Whether you want classic or contemporary, each is beautiful and super easy to use either manually or motorized.

Option #1: Naturally Beautiful Woven Wood Shades

Woven wood shades have a natural beauty about them, as they are made using organic materials such as bamboo and jute.  Left unlined, they filter light in, and with an added lining, they can be room dimming.  Woven wood shades come in a variety of colors and textures allowing them to work with almost any aesthetic.

Option #2: Classic Fabric Roman Shades

Whether your need is privacy or light control, Roman shades are ideal for either as they can be unlined, or lined with regular or blackout lining.  Roman shades can be fabricated to fit the style of your home as hobble, flat fold, or relaxed, to name a few styles.

Option #3: Multi-Purpose Honeycomb Shades

Classic honeycomb, or cellular, shades fit in beautifully with transitional, contemporary or modern aesthetics. Perfect for either privacy or light filtering/blocking, honeycomb shades can also provide excellent insulation from heat and cold air. Honeycomb shades are available with a top-down option, which is perfect if you need privacy but still want a view or light to come in.

Option #4: Versatile Roller Shades

Roller shades have a sleek, minimal design and are available in a wide range of options.  Roller shades can control temperature and glare in your room, allow a view, help maintain privacy, or block light to get a good night's sleep.  These are available in many colors and fabric choices and can be cordless.

Option #5: Stylish Pleated Shades

Both Tenera and Allure shades fit in with any design style and are adjustable to vary the amount of light let into the room. When raised, they seem to disappear. Tenera shades have the appearance of blinds with a sense of softness to them, while Allure shades are more contemporary. Both styles come in a wide range of colors and vane sizes.

When considering window treatment options, I highly recommend shades. With so many options, these classic, beautiful, versatile window treatments are sure to enhance your home.
